From CDOT:
The SH 72 telephone town hall is scheduled for next Tuesday evening, October 22nd, at 7:00 PM. Representatives from CDOT, FEMA, Jefferson County and the construction team will be on the call to answer your questions. I have copied the main body of the press release into this email, so that you’ll have all the details. We will be using the same phone system that Jefferson County utilizes for their town halls – they will be making calls out to residents, but you can call in, too.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will host a telephone town hall at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 22nd for members of the public to learn more about efforts currently underway to repair SH 72, Coal Creek Canyon, from SH 93 to SH 119. Construction crews are working from both sides of the project to provide a temporary roadway connecting the two highways by December 1, 2013.
The town hall will last for one hour and include a panel of representatives from CDOT, Jefferson County and Lawrence Construction. A representative with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will also be on hand to answer any questions callers might have about federal assistance. Along with listening to the panelists talk about the project, town hall participants will have the opportunity to answer periodic polling questions using their phone keypad and ask questions of the panelists.
Anyone can participate in the town hall by calling 877-229-8493 at 7 p.m. and entering access number 112034. Registered voters living in the Coal Creek Canyon area will receive a call directly at 7 p.m. asking if they want to participate.
An audio file of the town hall will be posted to CDOT’s website at www.coloradodot.info/travel/floodinfoupdates for those who are unable to participate.
On Sept. 23, CDOT selected Lawrence Construction to conduct temporary repairs along SH 72 through Coal Creek Canyon as part of a plan to restore mobility on some of the state’s most heavily damaged roadways.
