From CDOT:

Below is the information I received regarding the early opening on Saturday and additional information about Monday. Please note that work will continue on SH 72, as we have not finished repairs. That means that you should expect speed restrictions and temporary lane closures as crews continue to work. I will send out an email with all the details as they become available. Thanks and have a good weekend –

Dear Coal Creek Canyon Community Members:
At noon on Saturday, November 9, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and its contractor Lawrence Construction Co. will open State Highway (SH) 72 between SH 93 and SH 119 to local traffic only. The highway will remain open through the weekend.
On Monday, November 11, there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of SH 72 to all traffic. In order to conduct the ribbon cutting ceremony safely, SH 72 will temporarily be closed from approximately 11 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. During this time, no traffic will be allowed in or out of the canyon. The highway will completely reopen following the event and will remain open.
CDOT and Lawrence Construction thank you for your patience and understanding during the flood repairs! Your cooperation enabled us to open ahead of schedule.
