This Saturday, Oct 21 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM, representatives from the CCC Fire Department will be participating in the Community Expo at the CCCIA Community Hall (31528 Hwy 72). This is a great opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the Fire Department, or just stop by and say Hi!
We are also currently recruiting for 2018 firefighter candidates, so if you want to get additional information about what it means to be a volunteer CCC firefighter, this is a good chance to ask. We can explain the training requirements for Wildland and Full Firefighters, and the rewards you get from helping your community as a firefighter. So if you are thinking about applying, we hope to see you there. Or if you know somebody in the canyon who would be a good candidate, let them know about this opportunity!
