Jefferson County has entered into Stage 1 Fire Restrictions. While this does not prohibit our residents from having recreational campfires on their private property, it serves as an important indication that everyone needs to be extremely careful with fire this time of year. As a reminder, recreational campfires are to be within a permanent constructed fire ring, barrel, or portable fireplace, are to be no larger than 3’ in diameter by 2’ high, and must be 30’ or more from an undeveloped area.
