The National Weather Service has issued a RED FLAG WARNING for Coal Creek Canyon today, 4/18, due to moderate winds and low relative humidity. No open burning is allowed anywhere in the Coal Creek Canyon Fire Protection District. Avoid all outdoor activities that could cause a spark or flame.
Our fire weather zones are Fire Weather Zone 239 (below 6,400 ft) and Fire Weather Zone 215 (above 6,400 ft.).
