Due to a High Wind Warning issued by the National Weather Service, there will be no open burning allowed in the Coal Creek Canyon Fire Protection District Sunday, Feb 2 and Monday, Feb 3, 2025. Fire conditions will be elevated due to a forecast of West winds of 25 to 40 mph with gusts in excess of 75 mph possible in wind prone areas.
Our fire weather zones are Fire Weather Zone 239 (below 6,400 ft) and Fire Weather Zone 215 (above 6,400 ft.).
