Joe Ceurvorst is a past Chief of Coal Creek Fire, and currently serves as Assistant Chief and Wildand Officer. Joe has served the Coal Creek Community for over 25 years.

Station 1 is located approximately in the middle of Coal Creek Canyon and was reconstructed in 1959 after heavy snows of over 5 feet caused the roof of the original firehouse to collapse in 1957.
